About our Farm

A Quick Note About Our Farm..
Experience flowers that you can touch to feel, and be able stick your nose in to get a big wonderful smell of, without exposure to chemical residue from pesticides and preservatives; and vegetables grown naturally - in a 'food is medicine' theory - grown without chemicals; pesticides, synthetic nutrients, or preservatives. Our plants are grown in living soil, meaning that we feed the biology in our soil nutrients and minerals that are naturally and ethically derived so that the biology can feed our plants exactly what that plant needs at any time, ensuring the best environment possible for that plant, which ultimately results in large colorful blooms in our flower selections and vegetables with much higher nutrient content than conventional farming methods and taste like vegetables "used to". Our Farming Practices
-
It all begins with the soil and the seed..
We use a no-till living soil method of gardening. This means our soil is never "turned over", which causes the biology in your soil to die. All of our vegetable seeds are non-gmo and sourced from reputable businesses or from our own naturally grown stock if possible.
-
What does "Naturally" Grown Mean?..
Our plants are fed using nutrients and minerals that are found in nature and are not treated or combined with any chemicals. A couple examples of our soil remediation processes we perform are by using crop rotation and/or cover crop when not in use for production. Sometimes our free range chickens provide cover crop removal as well.
-
So what do we give our plants?
Examples of naturally derived nutrients found on our farm include things like fish bone meal, feather meal, oyster shell, gypsum, volcanic rock ash, bat guano, and most importantly, our biologically rich compost made on our farm. Any products we purchase are from companies whose products are ethically sourced.
